The Buddha

Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth,

So virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind.

To walk safely through the maze of human life,

one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.

Visiting FTS

Fundraising Merchandise

Our founding teacher and spiritual guide, Geshe Thupten Dorjee, visited us over the holiday season. We were thrilled to have him with us--even for the short time he was here.

Geshe-la lead us in guided meditations, performed a Ceremony of Refuge, a Vajrasattva Initiation, Lama Tsongkhapa and Green Tara Transmissions. The ceremonies were well attended.

We already miss Geshe-la, and we look forward to seeing him again soon.

We were very pleased to welcome Yeshe Thupten--a monk from the Katog Nyingma order and is currently based in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was visiting the Fairhope area over the long Independence Day weekend with some friends.

Thanks for visiting, Yeshe. We hope to see you again.

We are very happy to hear that our founding monk, Geshe Thupten Dorjee will be visiting us beginning December 15 through the New Year. Geshe-la is on the faculty of the University of Arkansas.

Last Summer, Geshe Dorjee took a group of his Tibetan studies students to India. They were honored with an audience with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
